DC Rebirth: Deathstroke

Anti-hero books are all the rage. There’s no denying that Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke, is a character that, if done right, combines The Punisher, Deadpool (created as a riff on Deathstroke), and the Most Interesting Man in the World. Dos Equis’ loss could be DC Comics’ gain.

The bigger gain is that Christopher Priest, one of the best writers not currently working in comics, is returning to comics. Creator of [amazon text=Quantum and Woody&asin=1939346363] for Valiant Entertainment, writer for Milestone Media, and the man who arguably gave [amazon text=Black Panther&asin=0785192670] the spin the character needed to be popular enough to become the huge property it’s going to be as soon as Captain America: Civil War opens, we welcome him back.

I’m not really a fan of Deathstroke, but if anyone can make me want to read him in a solo title, it’s Priest. Art will be by Carlo Pagulayan, Igor Vitorino, and Felipe Watanabe. Stay thirsty, my friends.
