Arrow's First Shot
We've talked about the CW launching a new Green Arrow series -- not related to the character as he appeared on Smallville. And the CW has enough excitement for it that they've released this first image of star Stephen Amell in costume for Arrow.
I like it, though honestly, if treated with any amount of respect, it's a costume that's hard to mess up. Three-time Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood designed this that looks to be riffing off of Green Arrow's appearance in The Longbow Hunters, which does seem fairly close to how DC's New 52 has been costuming him, too.
So here's hoping Arrow is more of a Smallville and less of a Mercy Reef, the failed Aquaman pilot. So far, even with the adjustments for television, it seems like everything's on the right track.
