Planet Buzz Today's Date:

A Rip-Off Of Mars

Today I learned something. Somehow the Edgar Rice Burroughs family let the John Carter books fall into the public domain. And though that means that maybe Pixar has more money to spend on the development of their version which will rock, it also means that any idiot can make their version of A Princess of Mars. And so fans of this novel have waited for almost ninety years for just one adaptation. Now they get two.

For the record, there's nothing about this version from cheapo rip-off company The Asylum that looks like the books I remember reading.
