Yes, this is how much fun I had watching Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil. In checking out my mail inbox, I discovered that the publicity company had sent me an embed code for a "behind the scenes" video. And I knew that I had to post it for the world to see.
I don't quite get the business plan of putting something on VOD (Video On Demand) a month before a theatrical release, but the movie business is changing. And if that allows a movie like this to survive and thrive, I'm all for it.
If sites like Fanboy Planet can help, then I'm all for doing that, too. Though I've enjoyed many blockbuster films this summer, not many have been ones that I've thought "I'm going to watch this again." (Except for the superhero ones; I have a young son -- we're going to be geeking out even to Green Lantern when it comes on home video.) But this film, Attack the Block and Super -- all comparatively "little" movies -- are ones that will draw me back in over and over.
What is it about Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil? Even watching the trailer and knowing where many of the big joke set-ups were going to be, it was still wrongly hilarious.
