Silicon Valley Comic Con 2016: Opening Ceremony

Silicon Valley Comic-Con opened its doors to a preview night full of local politicians, tech celebrities, beloved actors, and comics merchandisers all happy to see it begin.

After a few minutes of opening comments from San Jose’s vice mayor Rose Herrera and mayor Sam Liccardo, Apple computer founder and technology icon Steve Wozniak explained why he wanted to bring a comic-con experience to San Jose.  Then everyone grabbed a huge set of scissors, cut the ribbon, and let the throngs of fans onto the show floor.
