Dave Dwonch Ties Up The Loose End

Dave Dwonch ties up the loose end

It’s hard to categorize Dave Dwonch’s comics career. He’s done comics for several publishers covering science fiction, horror, fantasy, and straight up crime. For a few years, he was editor at Action Lab Comics, but now writes for himself. Last month, his graphic novel The Automaton arrived in the mailboxes of Kickstarter backers, a murder mystery set at a theme park you might consider a magic kingdom.

At the same time, Titan Comics announced Dave’s next book, The Loose EndPublished under their Hard Case Crime imprint, it’s a love letter to 90s crime movies, but as you’ll find out in our interview, more of it’s true than we’ll want to think. Right before Thanksgiving, Dave was kind enough to give me a little time to talk about his current books and open up about what inspires him. (It turns out I had more in common with Dave than I thought.)
