Doctor Strange Encounters “The Last Days of Magic”

Without totally subverting the character, writer Jason Aaron and artist Chris Bachalo have been doing a great job updating Doctor Strange to 2016. He’s not quite the same Stephen Strange who served as a member of the Illuminati, or as Sheriff on Battleworld. But those versions are visible in this stronger, more Cumberbatchy version. I don’t say that as a crack — getting readers excited about Doctor Strange in time for the movie can only be a good thing, especially when it’s this well done.

I’m also digging these Story Thus Far covers — not because I think they actually communicate the story unless you already know it, but because they’re really cool pieces of art.
