SDCC 2024: Filmmaker Julia Marchese Knows What Comic-Con Needs

Filmmaker Julia Marchese knows what Comic-Con needs

From Stephen King’s short story anthology Night Shift, Julia Marchese adapted “I Know What You Need” into a cautionary After School Special. ABC never showed anything like this — but San Diego Comic-Con will. Friday, July 26th at 1:45 pm in the Marriott Marquis Ballroom!

Julia sat down to talk with me about loving the short story and bringing her own vision to life with it — the result is one of the best King adaptations you could ever see. So catch it at a film festival!

In addition to her film playing at the San Diego Comic-Con Film Festival, Julia will be on the panel “Recast Monsters” on Thursday, July 25 in Room 10 at 8:30.
