One day after alluding to this in another article, Prime Video invites you to have yourself a Merry Little Batman. To be honest, I don’t care if Warner Bros. Studios pushes these projects to other services, as long as they happen. Because this looks like fun. Any project that makes Damian Wayne fun is aces with me, and I don’t mean the Bat-hound. Or maybe I do. Because this project by talents from The Regular Show and Teen Titans GO! looks like it includes just about everything you could think of in Batman’s history. That includes the 1943 movie serial.

Crime has faded away, and Batman’s Rogues Gallery have all gotten older. Way older. They’ve clearly been around at least since Batman & Robin. When the Justice League calls Batman away, Damian takes over to stop the Joker et al from stealing Christmas. We’ve got plenty of edgy Batman; it’s important to still have a few new takes on him that the whole family can watch.

From Prime Video:

This Christmas, Damian Wayne wants to be a Super Hero like his dad—the one and only Batman. When Damian is left home alone while Batman takes on Gotham’s worst Super-Villains on Christmas Eve, he stumbles upon a villainous plot to steal Christmas and leaps at the chance to save the day. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and based on characters from DC, Merry Little Batman features the voices of Yonas Kibreab, Luke Wilson, James Cromwell, and David Hornsby, and is directed by Mike Roth (Regular Show) from a screenplay by Morgan Evans (Teen Titans Go!) and Jase Ricci (Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham). Roth also serves as executive producer, alongside Sam Register (Looney Tunes Cartoons). Merry Little Batman arrives December 8 to Prime Video.
