
For a few years now, I’ve been in a couple of online groups with other great fans of pulp and golden age comics heroes. One such kindred spirit, Chuck Kreegah Loridans, started a podcast last year mainly devoted to Green Arrow, the Boxing Glove Arrow Podcast. Chuck has been much more involved in the podcasting community than I, and so when the Fire and Water podcast wanted to create #JSApril, he was in.
What is #JSApril, you ask? It’s a celebration of the first modern superhero team, the Justice Society of America. All throughout April, various comic book podcasts devoted at least one episode to the JSA. Chuck invited a few friends to join him on the Boxing Glove Arrow Podcast to reminisce about how we discovered the team. So yes, I’m one of those friends, alongside Meteor House Press’ Keith Howell and author Frank Schildiner.
