Jim Krueger Versus Dracula

He’s won an Eisner. He’s laid out an alternate future for the Marvel Universe. Heck, he’s created at least one of his own. But deep down, Jim Krueger has always wanted to write The Human Fly. Thanks to IPI Comics, he has his chance, writing a multi-generational saga that pits the legacy hero against one villain who strides the centuries — Dracula.

Topping it off, the first issue (and more to come) has a variant cover by artist Jaime Jameson. As luck would have it, she’s the great-great-great-great-granddaughter of Dracula. At least, the historical inspiration for Dracula, Vlad Tepes. Though the adventure in these pages is fictional, both title characters inĀ The Human Fly Versus Dracula can be said to be real.

Jim and Jaime joined me from a coffee shop today to talk about the book — and more.
