The latest trailer for The Naked Gun requel has dropped — and it’s giving just enough energy from the original to mix in with the sensibilities of producer Seth McFarlane and writer/director Akiva Schaffer (from The Lonely Island). Liam Neeson has proven his deadpan comedy chops all over the place, and Pamela Anderson steps into the outline of Priscilla Presley pretty perfectly. I’m not sure Paul Walter Hauser has quite the same George Kennedy energy, but let’s give it a chance.
The Naked Gun opens August 1, so you have plenty of time to refresh yourself on the original. You can also catch up on a conversation with stuntman Chriw Brewster, who worked on the film.
