You like horror comics? You like them just a little goofy but still scary? Then you’re ready for gHosts — the first Halloween special launching from Shannon Eric Denton’s Monster Forge exclusively on GlobalComix. The plot involves a cross-over of some of comics’ best “horror hosts,” but there’s more.
It’s an all-star line-up of creators — not just Denton, no slouch when it comes to writing great comics. He’s teaming with Cullen Bunn in the special, with characters created by David Dastmalchian, Rodney Barnes, Chynna Clugston Flores, artist David Hartman, and someone named Vamp that I don’t know but whose work I suspect I’m about to totally dig. Just like I dig what Monster Forge is doing.

Investigator Nita Hawes is drawn into a decades old missing child case when she’s sent a mysterious VHS tape featuring horror hosts Count Crowley, Vamp, Doctor Fearless, Desdemona, Uncle Monster and Ms. Halloween. The hosts do what they can to guide her recovery mission but even with their help, Nita may find herself lost in a Halloween nightmare if she can’t solve this case!
