You may not realize it, but you know Brian Shortall. A veteran actor and comedy writer, he’s one of those guys who’s “that guy,” everywhere once you know his name.
Now he’s making his novel-writing debut with Victor Vs. Video Games, a satirical story of what happens when the coolest guy in America gets embroiled in hottest trial of the century. Brian sat down last week to talk about his process, his vibe, and writing a book so clearly aimed at fandom but not knowing that he was releasing it two days before Comic-Con San Diego. I’ll count it as SDCC 2025 content anyway.
