SDCC 2025: The Human Fly Versus Dracula

The Human Fly versus Dracula

It’s a conflict across centuries as The Human Fly faces down Dracula across a 250 year span. As the real-life stuntman was actually a few real-life stuntmen, it makes sense that it’s been a mantle passed down over generations. Announced at Comic-Con, Eisner Award-winning writer Jim Krueger tackles this epic in collaboration with artists Peter Lawson and Graeme Jackson.

The Human Fly Versus Dracula launches with a 52-page graphic novel that just went live on Kickstarter. In those pages you’ll meet the Human Fly (Flies?) of 1776, 1864, and 1929. All turning points in history and misery, of course the Prince of Darkness would be attracted to the light. For those who’ve been following the ongoing The Human Fly from IPI Comics, it’s a fascinating reveal of the legacy.

As hinted at last year’s Comic-Con, this “Conflict Across Centuries” promises a taste of the expansion plans IPI Comics has for the character. While it’s doubtful Disney would allow The Human Fly’s team-ups with Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, and others to be reprinted, that doesn’t mean the justice-seeking stuntman couldn’t have teamed with Mickey Mouse back in 1929… (that’s just my pitch which I’d say please, please don’t actually ask me for details.)

You can back this on Kickstarter now, and if you have yet to experience The Human Fly’s modern-day adventures, Volume 1: Terror Tour arrives in shops in October.
