At last, fans of Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe got a look at a new chapter, inspired but not adapted directly from Anne Rice’s novels. Talamasca will definitively tie the universe together, as they keep a watchful eye on vampires, witches, and… demons.
Starring Nicholas Denton (“Guy Anatole”), Elizabeth McGovern (“Helen”), William Fichtner (“Jasper”), Maisie Richardson-Sellers (“Olive”), and Celine Buckens (“Doris”), Anne Rice’s Talamasca debuts on Sunday, October 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. And yes, in the trailer you will see the not entirely unexpected recurring character that connects this series directly with Interview with the Vampire.

Produced by AMC Studios, Anne Rice’s Talamasca focuses on a secretive society called the Talamasca, comprised of the men and women responsible for tracking and containing the witches, vampires, and other creatures scattered around the globe. While it seems that Jason Schwartzman falls under the category of vampire, there may yet be a surprise or two.

The show is executive produced by Academy Award®-nominated John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side) and Marc Lafferty (The Right Stuff, Halt and Catch Fire), who also serve as co-showrunners, award-winning producer Johnson and Tom Williams along with Christopher Rice and the late Anne Rice. Hancock also directs.

In addition to running Fanboy Planet, Derek has contributed stories to Arcana Comics (The Greatest American Hero) and Monsterverse Comics (Bela Lugosi's Tales from the Grave). He has performed with ComedySportz, City Lights Theater Company and Silicon Valley Shakespeare, though relocated to Hollywood to... work in an office? If you ever played Eric's Ultimate Solitaire on the Macintosh, it was Derek's voice as The Weasel that urged you to play longer.
