One thing we can say for sure about Comic-Con International in San Diego is it will be hot. I don’t necessarily mean so hot it’s cool; I mean that even the famously temperate San Diego has still hit late July high temperatures the past couple of years. When that happens, there’s one thing we all scream for: JUSTICE! I mean, ICE CREAM!
Like lightning, the team alternately known as the New Avengers will hear our cries. Because Marvel Studios is bringing a Thunderbolts Treatz Truck to alight somewhere near the San Diego Convention Center. Not only will it be loaded with ice cream goodies*, there’s a promise of exclusive drops. Where will it be? The MLK walkway behind the Omni Hotel, which is an often overlooked but activity packed area outside the convention center.
Before Comic-Con, you can catch Thunderbolts* on your preferred VOD service. Right AFTER Comic-Con, it will be available on 4K blu-ray and DVD. Here’s hoping a few copies of those blu-rays will be dropping out of that treatz truck.
*Note: it does seem that each treat contains dairy. If I find out otherwise, I’ll update this article.
