The first of Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films met with mixed critical response, but after we all got over the lips on the turtles, people seem to have enjoyed it. As someone who only occasionally read the comics and watched the cartoon, I can say that Out of the Shadows looks like it hits more buttons than the first one did. We’ve got Casey Jones (Stephen Amell) looking good. We’ve got Krang. We’ve got Bebop and Rocksteady. And we’ve pretty much got the only things that I would think have to be there in a sequel. It actually makes me want to go back and watch the first one, which I still haven’t seen, but is available on Hulu.
