When Marvel announced the return to publishing Planet of the Apes for the first time since the 1970s, they said more announcements were forthcoming. Here comes the first, as expected. If my memory of Marvel’s original Apes books is correct, this will be the first of two omnibuses. Marvel also published a black and white magazine, not beholden to the Comics Code Authority. (BOOM Studios gathered those into an omnibus a few years ago, which sold out immediately.)
As I missed out on all of this the first time around, I’m ready to go ape.
