Comics creator Aidan Casserly has been telling the story of the World’s Worst Super-Villain for 15 years, but he decided it’s time to be closing Scapula’s Comics Crypt. We first met one evening in Burbank at Dark Delicacies, where I picked up two of his collections and immediately loved them. Since Casserly is bringing Scapula to an end, I thought it was time to talk about the character, the books he’s done with them, and what he may do now. (Hint: animation.) Along the way he also offered advice to young creators, and offered up who influenced his creative work.
Of course, there’s monstrous mayhem in a restrained, tasteful way.
