You can make Comic-Con International into the show you want to see. Like movies and TV shows? Of course you can hang out in Hall H or visit activations outside the convention center. Like comics? Of course they’re here. Like games? They’ve got all kinds. In the Marriott Marquis, Stern Pinball set up a pop-up arcade featuring the latest and greatest of their pinball machines and if you haven’t played pinball in a while, you haven’t played pinball.
I had, at both Revenge of… Comics and Games in Glassell Park and in San Diego at a place called Coin-Op, and I still didn’t know what was going on. I’m no pinball wizard, for sure. With video screens, movie snippets, and dynamic game play, pinball has evolved into gaming far beyond what used to cost me a quarter at the arcade.
My wife and I both got a fair amount of time on the new Godzilla 70th Anniversary and John Wick tables, and we can’t wait to find them out in the wild and play again.
