Four years ago, the William Saroyan Family Library gave me the opportunity to read a short work for the Yuletide season. Loving William Saroyan’s writing, I jumped at it. This year I realized I’d never run it on Fanboy Planet, so I had to change that.

From essay to Christmas card to YouTube video… here’s “Christmas.”

William Saroyan’s Christmas originally appeared in Good Housekeeping in December of 1943, and was re-published a number of times, including as the basis for Christmas cards by Argus Press.

I hope all readers of this site have moments of peace and joy today.
