Ted Sikora and the Undead

Ted Sikora and the Undead

From rock musical to film to comics, there’s a thread through all of Ted Sikora’s work. Characters from his concept album Nothing Like Vaudeville popped up in the Hero Tomorrow comic Apama the Undiscovered Animal before spinning off into The Tap Dance Killer and Punchline and the Vaudevillains. Apama spun out of the film that gave Sikora’s comics company its name — Hero Tomorrow. And now the Vaudevillains have given spark to a character who has given rise to incredible cosplay — Violante the Undead.

Of course, distribution woes in the past year slowed Violante’s momentum a bit, but Sikora just launched a Kickstarter to both reacquaint fans with Violante and jump into her next chapter. In addition, Hero Tomorrow Comics will now be distributed through Asylum Press, offering a chance for new fans to dive all in on the Hero Tomorrow line.

After years of meeting up at conventions, we finally grabbed some time to talk about the line and this sensational character find of 2024, 2025, and 2026.
