About a month ago, animation fans got excited when Don Bluth and Gary Goldman announced their plans to make a full-length feature out of their classic videogame, Dragon’s Lair. They attempted a Kickstarter campaign, but after feedback from fans, decided to scrap it and go with Indiegogo instead. They launched that campaign today, and we’re happy to help spread the word.
The initial funding will go toward a four-minute pitch video, to be used to secure backing for a proposed $70 million production. This would be the classic animation team’s first full-length feature since 2000’s Titan A.E. in a career that has included such classics as The Secret of NIMH, An American Tail, The Land Before Time, and Anastasia. But let’s let them tell it:
Want to take part? Go to Indiegogo and help make Dragon’s Lair a reality!
