Get Ready For The Whovian Devastator Parody: ‘TARDIS Beat’

For a few years, writer Patrick Baker (Regular Show) has been creating and editing The Devastator, a magazine that might be filling the 21st century void left by the original versions of MAD and National Lampoon. Baker’s parodies don’t always clearly label themselves as being The Devastator, but they’re always sharp and well-versed in what they’re parodying. Case in point — this latest issue, coming out February 16. Maybe it’s a little late to the party tackling the belief that American fangirls had flocked to Doctor Who because of the photogenic David Tennant and Matt Smith, but let’s face it — Peter Capaldi gets plenty of fan love, and, as I’m getting ready to attend this year’s Gallifrey One convention in Los Angeles, this parody sums up my own enthusiasm.

Thanks, Patrick. Now get out of my head.
