This was legitimately alluded to in Scream 6 — Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) was supposed to have gotten a happy ending but we know that couldn’t last. That previous film also alluded to far more in terms of legacy which we may never get to see. No matter how you feel about the way that was handled, it’s simply not to be. But I also thought Campbell wasn’t going to come back, so one never really knows for sure.
I can’t even tell you what my favorite scary movie is.
From Paramount:
When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.
