I missed posting this during Comic-Con, but it’s worth catching up. It won’t be in continuity; it should just be plain fun. Superman has fought a giant ape before, one with kryptonite vision, even. But that’s probably not in continuity anymore, either.
What event could awaken the King of the Monsters and turn him against the Justice League? What would lure Kong, the King of all giant apes, from Skull Island? Do both giant monsters have a mother named Martha? And will Detective Chimp calm them down? The answers will be revealed by writer Brian Buccellato and artist Christian Duce in this mini-series starting October 17!
(Also, technically, this is a different Monsterverse than the one launched in comics shops over a decade ago. Legendary holds those assets, but they’re simply not as big as kaiju.)
