Life has a way of getting in the way. That’s an attempt to sound profound as to why it’s been a couple of weeks since I flipped through some books. But on a week that sees the release of Superman Spider-Man #1, I had to weigh in. So instead of all the books in my stacks for the last 3 weeks, it’s some of the first issues that have come out and that I picked up at House of Secrets.
A couple were terrific surprises. And one was a terrific disappointment. Yes, I try not to tear into a book, but there’s one that I bought because I always take a chance on this indie publisher. Like a Shamrock Shake, I always remember I’ll be at best vaguely disappointed when it’s too late.
