The TRON Lightcycle Power Run At Shanghai Disneyland

On June 16, 2016, Shanghai Disneyland will officially open its gates to the world (for an admission fee, of course). If you’re wondering why you should head to Shanghai, the word is TRON. A high-speed roller coaster ride in which you “enter the game grid” and ride the lightcycles, it has the look of TRON Legacy, and the excitement of OMG WHY CAN’T WE HAVE THIS IN THE UNITED STATES?!?!? (video from Inside the Magic):

It sure beats the heck out of that time Disneyland had a TRON overlay on the People Mover. That’s not all Shanghai Disneyland will have that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the world; more and more, Disney tries to give each individual park attractions that exist nowhere else so that one day, we will all do world tours completely owned by the Disney Corporation. And I for one welcome my mouse overlord.

End of line.
