The Fanboy Planet 2015 Holiday Gift Guide!

Tonight we recorded our latest podcast episode, filled with recommendations for Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and beyond! What do you get for someone who wants to dabble in geekery, or who you would like to introduce to it? We’ve got some great recommendations — and believe us, you don’t need to be a nerd to want this stuff.

Also, check back on this from time to time over the next few days. We mentioned some great ideas, but we may stumble across a few more and realize, hey, maybe YOU would like this.

First off, we suggest maybe a little non-profit work. Maybe make sure you pick up something for Toys For Tots, or Second Harvest Food Bank (or whatever your local non-profit is that works to feed the hungry in your community).

If you’d like to do something more comics oriented, consider buying someone a membership in the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund — there are many different levels of membership in this great organization that stands up for free speech in comics, bookstores, and libraries. If you don’t want to purchase a membership, you can still find a lot of great merchandise on their site, often autographed, that make for great gifts. Plus the proceeds go towards the CBLDF!

Also consider The Hero Initiative — a non-profit that helps veterans of the comics industry with medical and legal services, as well as financial planning. They, too, have an online store with many products that help benefit those who need it.

And now… to the items that should fit nicely under the tree. In addition to the big ticket possibility of the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 2 Box Set, we have many books, games, and toys that should work for someone you know, and tried to keep them at more reasonable costs. We’re a guide, not necessarily a dream book.
