A Walk Through Star Wars Launch Bay

As mentioned in the last Disneyland Star Wars post, the park has opened an exhibit celebrating Star Wars. Meant both as a tribute to the franchise and probably to sharpen appetites for Star Wars Land — still years away — Launch Bay is chock full of props, replicas, costumes, models, and the Force. You can also meet Chewbacca and Darth Vader; if you’re really lucky, you might spot Boba Fett.

Here are some pictures from the place — both light side and dark side. And of course, you exit through the gift shop, but we’ll save that…

Take a close look at the miniatures of the ships, with explanations of their history. If you look really closely, you can find one of the fabled Hidden Mickeys…

And more costumes and helmets… plenty more… here are just a few.

As for that Cantina…plenty of photo opportunities for the family in that wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Outside the Cantina is a bank of XBoxes and tablets in order to play park exclusive toyboxes in Disney Infinity 3.0. Maybe some time in the future these will be downloadable for home play.

Be careful: some of the controllers have been reversed.

And for now, we leave the Launch Bay, with one thought in our heads…

Indeed
