At last the Kickstarter forĀ Horror Not HateĀ has gone live. That means it’s time to talk with Slow Feet Comics founder and EIC J.M. Brandt about the anthology. What spurred an indie horror comics creator to become a publisher and invite so many other creators to play in his sandbox? In these trying times, how can we keep it together?
The answers may or may not surprise you. Suffice to say, the anthology has come together, and throughout our conversation, I’ve sprinkled some artwork from various stories. At this point, the only one I’ve read is my own with Rafael Navarro, “Ladies’ Night at the Saddle Rack.” But the individual panels I’ve seen from others — I’m excited. I may get a little creeped out by some, but that’s the point.
And it sure as heck won’t be as creepy as what’s actually happening in the world. Enjoy the conversation and if you haven’t already, please consider backing the Kickstarter. If you have and believe in what Slow Feet Comics wants to accomplish, please spread the word. We continue using our powers for good.
